General Terms

  1. We recommend our customers to have a travel insurance with cancellation insurance for the duration of the trip. Cahkal Hotel is not obligated to refund booking fees on the basis of a medical certificate or equivalent.
  2. Cancellations must be made always in writing by email to info@cahkalhotel.fi.
  3. We reserve the right to change or cancel activities due to weather conditions or to ensure the safety of the customer.
  4. Cahkal Hotel has the right to cancel the reservation due to force majeure i.e.. if the hotel is unable to provide the services as agreed for example due to a natural disaster, a state of war, water damage, a fire or a strike which makes it impossible to provide the services. In this case, the customer will be refunded the paid part of the reservation

General booking & cancellation terms for individual guests

Booking & payment

  • All bookings with bed & breakfast or half board / full board basis will be charged 30 days prior to arrival or at the time of the online booking.
  • All Cahkal packages are charged upon arrival.

Cancellation & changes

  • All accommodation bookings can be cancelled or changed free of charge 7 days prior to arrival
  • If cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to arrival, 100 % of the value of the booking will be charged. No refund is done for the guest.
  • All Cahkal package bookings can be cancelled or changed free of charge 30 days prior to arrival
  • If cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to arrival, 100 % of the value of the booking will be charged. No refund is done for the guest.
  • If the booking is changed to a higher price category or upgraded to another room category, the difference will be charged from the guest.

Please note that we reserve the right to apply different type of booking & cancellation terms when booking for a group above 10 people or when making a booking for festive season between 20th of December and 02nd of January.
