Easter at Cahkal

Ski. Connect. Celebrate Easter at the Gates of Wilderness.

During Easter, the entire Cahkal is reserved exclusively for outdoors and sports lovers, creating a shared, intimate atmosphere at the very edge of the wilderness.

Days are spent fellskiing, ski de randonnée, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling through pristine Arctic landscapes — balanced with slow mornings, long dinners, and time together around the table. Whether you arrive as friends or strangers, you’ll leave knowing each other well. This is Easter, Cahkal-style.

Our package includes:

  • Stay in beautiful Cahkal
    Elegant twin or double room with the best views of mountains of Kilpisjärvi, including breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner every day at Aika Kitchen & Bar.
  • One day with introductory guiding by our wilderness guides. Take a snowmobile sleigh-ride to Termisjärvi, and continue with fell skis or ski de randonnée on your preference.
  • Panoramic sauna hour daily for ladies and gentlemen.
  • Arrival and departure transfers from Tromsø or Kittilä.

Ski set rental is available from 120 € for 3 days, or you are welcome to bring your own equipment.

Arctic Ski Escape

Discover Arctic scenery beyond the slopes with experienced local guides who know the fells like the back of their hand.

Enjoy three days of guided skiing in the vast Arctic wilderness, choosing between ski touring or backcountry. Your days are made luxurious with warm soup lunches and delicious three-course dinners. After a day out, relax in the sauna — the perfect blend of adventure and comfort.

  • 4-night stay in Cahkal View room
    Elegant twin or double accommodation with the best mountain views in Kilpisjärvi. Located on the second floor of the main building, the rooms are allergy-friendly.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and three-course dinner every day, served at Aika Kitchen & Bar. Soup lunch in thermoses is available on request for those who wish to enjoy lunch outdoors.
  • Three days guided skiing. Choose between off-piste ski touring or fell skiing in Finland and Norway. On-site transportation is included.
