Fly Fishing

Around Kilpisjärvi area we have excellent options for grayling fishing. Our new Cahkal Hotel is our basecamp for flyfisher men seeking quality and comfortability. Our experienced guides services are available as well as ”gillie” style fishing if you are an experienced fisherman and want to explore the wilderness lakes on your own.

Our Aika Kitchen is the perfect place to savour the catch of the day and our traditional Arctic cuisine. Aika Kitchen’s menu is always created with the best local and seasonal ingredients from the Arctic nature.

Snowgrouse hunting

Around Kilpisjärvi area we have excellent options for Snow Grouse hunting. We have access to the beautiful upland tundra of Finland and Sweden. Our new Cahkal Hotel is our basecamp for hunters seeking quality and comfortability. We provide tailor made and all inclusive hunting packages.

All-inclusive 2-day (3 nights) hunting package 4.300 € per person

Cahkal’s Hunting package is a turnkey solution for experienced hunters who seek the excitement of hunting but still wants to round up the day with fireplace talks, enjoy the sauna and a delicious dinner as well as sleep in a comfortable bed.

The group size is minimum 2 persons and maximum 4 persons. The price includes hotel accommodation in Superior Room or similar for single use, full board with a snow grouse festive dinner on your last evening, private sauna each evening after the hunting day and hunting licenses.

The price does not include preparations for hunting in Sweden, including vaccination of dogs (500€ / tour).

Ski Touring

Join for a tour with our local guides to have the best ski touring experience. You can either participate for Cahkal’s weekly program or book a private ski touring day only for you!

Ski touring day starts from Cahkal. First we take a snowmobile sleigh ride deep into wilderness. You can enjoy magnificent views on the way. Once we get to wilderness we leave snowmobile and sleigh down in the valley and reach the summit by our own muscle power either with skins and skis or splitboard. Depending on group, we usually do 1 to 3 runs per day. After one or two runs we’ll have a lunch break and maybe make a small transfer with sleigh and do one more run on a different mountain. Then it’s time to return to Cahkal for some well deserved afterski, sauna and dinner!
