Night adventure by hiking

Kilpisjärvi village and Cahkal’s surrounding nature is one of the best places in the world to see the magnificent northern lights!

Visit The three country cairn

The three country cairn marks the point where international borders of Norway, Sweden and Finland meet.

With Cahkal Hotel’s local guides you get to hear the history of this Three country cairn monument and get to visit all three countries in 30 seconds!

During autumn the surrounding nature is filled with rich and full tones of red, yellow and orange as the fall foliage embraces the trees and the grounds and nature gets ready for the upcoming winter.

Tour consists of a 30 minutes scenic boat ride to Koltalahti where we start our 3 kilometer easy hike to The three country cairn. After taking memorable photos we hike back to the boat and get a ride back to the Kilpisjärvi village.
